August is the month for all things pole dance with the 4th annual Asia Pacific Pole Dance Championships weekend - the largest regional pole dance event of the year!

The lineup for 2012 sees some exciting new additions to the weekend events, along with the usual socialising, networking, pole industry expo, pole dance workshops and performances!

This is a non-competitive division where groups can take to the stage and showcase their style of dance without the pressure of being judged in a competition.

Classic Pole is set to spin this year! Competitors will perform their routines on a spinner pole, bringing an extra element of beauty and flow to the division.

Tickets will be on sale closer to the date of the Championships and will be announced through this website and the APD Facebook page.

» Transport

Luna Park is close to public transport with Trains, Buses and Ferries servicing the area, as well as car parking available in the Luna Park Carpark.

Public Transport timetables are available by calling 131 500 or you can visit timetabling online.

Train
Most trains do not operate between midnight and 4.30am. For your convenience a special NightRide bus service is available between these hours. Visit the CityRail website for timetable and route information.

The closest station to Luna Park is Milsons Point. Regular CityRail services operate between Milsons Point and the City.

Bus
Many North Shore bus routes pass the nearby North Sydney Station and/or terminate at Milsons Point.


Ferries
Ferries regularly service Jeffrey's Street wharf from Circular Quay and Darling Harbour.

Matilda run direct services to Luna Park on board the Rocket Express. Ferry and ride packages can be booked online or over the phone by calling +61 2 9264 7377.

Car
Luna Park has 389 secure car spaces (entry via Paul St). Car Parking Fees for 4 hours or more: $32.00.
