» Asia Pacific Pole Dance Championships™
To provide a fair competition focusing on the athleticism, strength and artistry of the sport, the Australian Pole Dance Championships™ was run for the first time in 2009, from Melbourne, with a different state to host the event each year. For 2010, the competition has evolved, opening up to the Asia Pacific region and becoming known as the Asia Pacific Pole Dance Championships™.
This competition is be open any dancer (amateur or professional, male or female) aged 18yrs+, from the Asia Pacific. Combined with a focus on the athletic aspect of pole dance, similar to that of gymnastics, and the technical artistry, born from other forms of classical and modern dance, the Asia Pacific Pole Dance Championships™ brings pole dance champions into the mainstream sporting field. As well as showcasing outstanding pole dance talent across the nation, the Asia Pacific Pole Dance Championships™ boasts an internationally acclaimed judging panel of individuals who are well respected and known in the industry. The professional judging criteria used will be setting the standard in the industry of a fair, transparent and regulated scoring system.
» About the competition
The Asia Pacific Pole Dance Championships™ is taking competitive pole dancing into a professional, sporting realm. There are four divisions within the competition, and entry is open to include males, as well as opportunities to compete as mixed doubles.
The professional judging criteria used will be setting the standard in the industry of a fair, transparent and regulated scoring system.
